How to Style the Trend Sheer

Sheer was a hit trend on the Spring 2014 Runways and is very popular among the celebrities. We’ve seen Kim Kardashian, Jennifer AnistonChrissy Teigen, Kristina Bazan and Ashley Madekwe take sheer to the red carpet and into their everyday lives. Start the transition from winter to spring by adding some feminine, sheer pieces to your closet.

A sheer blouse is the easiest way to incorporate this trend into your wardrobe.  With a sheer blouse, you can easily pair it with denim pants {closet essential} or shorts to add a romantic touch to your daytime look. For a night look, a sheer overlay skirt or a dress with sheer accents can subtly add a touch of sexiness, especially when the sheer fabric is used to show off your shoulders or legs.

The key to finding the most flattering sheer pieces for your body is to focus on revealing only the parts of your body that you want to highlight.  The saying that “less is more” applies here as we feel that using sheer sparingly (either wearing the trend in your top or bottom)  creates a greater impact than when worn from head to toe.

Show us on LookMazing how you’ve styled the sheer trend or shop sheer blouses and sheer dresses from top brands and retailers on LookMazing.

Fashion Closet Essentials – Part 1

Trends Come and Go but Classics Are Forever

“Trends come & go but classics are forever”

is the motto to follow while building your fashion wardrobe.  Most often people give up on fashion because it can be overwhelming; it seems like you need to spend either lots of money or time to look amazing.

Our goal is to help everyone learn how to both shop smarter and style better.  If you are looking to redefine your look, we invite you to follow us as we show you easy ways to create a new fashionable you.  We’ll show you basic guidelines on how to build your closet essentials and style in the latest season’s trends.  LookMazing provides you with tools to easily shop over 200+ retailers in one place and share how you’ve styled the trends with us.  We hope to create an interactive and supportive community, so please do ask us questions along the way and let us know what features you would like to see.

We encourage you to make mistakes – fashion is about having fun and experimenting with new things that may be outside your comfort zone.  Even celebrity stylists don’t always get it right, so just focus on learning.  Over time, it’ll get easier as you’ll develop an eye for items that will flatter your figure.

By bringing together inspirational content + a community of fashion enthusiasts + e-commerce, we hope to change the way people approach fashion and shopping.
